My Harley premium shocks finally arrived from Surdyke. The directions say to put the bike on a stand to get the back tire off the ground. I don't have a stand so any suggestions?
You just have to get the weight off the back, if your strong take the bolts out and lift up on one side and the shock should slide right off, and slide the new one on, i have done this many times, or do it with a buddy, but if you lift to hard it wont come off either

Yup it can be done right on the kickstand, I have a jack but sometimes it's more work to put it on the jack than it is to do the job. Just do one side at a time and you'll be fine, put Progressive shocks on quite a few different bikes and if a jack aint handy the kickstand will do.

I've got a lift and a jack, and a blackjack scissor...

I've got every tool a man would need to do this also, so you could ride over, and ride home.
We can have the whole job done inside of one ice cold Diet Coke.
