I'm 6"5 and my wife suggested (Reality: she asked) that we use a hammock seat.
Consequence: Lots of buffeting for me.
Solution: 11" Freedom Shield Dark
Benefits: My sight is 2 to 3" above the upper line.
Extra Benefits: I don't tailgate the car in front of me (because the distance between me and the car is mostly driven by how much perfect visibility I have.
Extra Extra Benefits: I maintain a slower pace to make sure I can handle surprises (potholes mainly)
I wouldn't have chosen a dark shade, as I like to be able to duck down and still see ahead. My solution to buffetting is as per my photo, inspired by those fugly BMW R1200CL custom twins of a few years ago. I bought the biggest windshield available at the time, then trimmed the top to the dipped shape you see. The benefit is that we both get reduced buffetting (Mrs B is similar height to me, so sits higher), but I can see where we are heading!
We put an 11" LRS on the 14 Limited in a medium dark tint. My wife had mentioned it was rough air with the stock windshield. I like it as when the sun is in one of those nasty down low blinding you position you can duck down behind it.
I rode test this shield up to 115 mph. Very clear air!
