I love mine. Maybe they are set just right. Very bright. My only compliant is that my spot lights turn off when I'm on high beam. I'm glad that I can have that changed. My high beam shines out over 200 yards but leaves the first 50' in front of the bike kinda dim. They are way better than what I had on my 08 RK.

Are you from Canada? I had the same problem but there is a harley part number for a cable that allows the spots to be on when you go to high beam..
Independent Control Auxiliary Lamp Wire Harness Kit-69200441
The '14's need to be programmed by the dealer, no wiring harness needed. Mine came from factory out of adjustment, dealer aligned it for me and it's a great improvement.
Anybody know the socket size for the passing lamps/spots? I have tried a number of things to figure out size, even tried to get a caliper on it, no dice not enough room...
I want to buy a socket and do the relief cut for the wire so I can adjust mine up a little.
This is a very timely thread to say the least--wife just put the HD Daymaker LED headlight on her Sporty and she claims its much better than it was stock. She's (of course) encouraging me to buy one for the SG but I'm not sold just yet. Anyone with real world experience with the HD LED upgrade vs a Phase 7 Trucklight vs something else is appreciated. My lights are way too dim at night...

I installed the hd reflector led version and am very happy with the performance. Especially compared to the stock halogen. Friend has the TL 7 it looks like it is off in the daytime at a slight angle. The reflector version seems to have good visibility in daytime. When on high beam the low beam stays on also and has a broad path.

Thanks for the insight. Was the HD reflector hard to install? Did you need a wiring harness/adapter, or did it plug in like the Sporty one did? Did you have to change your trim ring (as I've been hearing you have to do with the phase 7?) Thanks!
The HD Reflector will need a harness and no change in trim ring is needed. You can also get the right plug (H4) from advance and splice it in if you want to save $. The stock light harness is a 7" whip that goes to another connector so you would not be damaging the bikes harness in any way and it's replaceable.

As rustrtal stated a jumper harness is needed, I bought mine from kutter I believe the harness was 17.00, install of the lamp took about 10 about minutes. It is a perfect fit and replacement for the stock.
I have the HD LED projector and have no complaints.
I have it adjusted about 3" higher than what the instructions say and I can see perfectly in front and both sides of me.
