i know me and my buddy swapped bikes last night , he has a 2017 soft tail with normal headlight , it was far better on low beam than my expensive daymaker
The Daymaker LED lights that come on the 2014 and up touring bikes are a joke. They are not safe in a turn on a dark road. Those that ride around where there are street lights probably don't realize it.
took it out tonite , left the trim ring off and had allen key in my pocket . i had the " factory " setting on my garage door that they suggest . rode on some very dark roads with turns , pulled over and kept adjusting the screws , all in all i have it set now where there is no more giant dark V on the centre line. i can say if you take a corner at anything more than speed limit , it overdrives and theres a giant dark area on the ditch side .
i got home pulled in my driveway and compared my " liveable" headlight alignment to the " suggested " factory setting tape mark on my garage door - not even close . so if your trying to get a single daymaker to function as per what the manual says - no chance . set high beam approx 1 ft higher , also give the curb side adjuster screw one full turn counter clockwise and it will pull the light far enough to get rid of the giant dark V on the road.
On my 2015 Ultra Limited the trim ring has access holes in 4 places BUT I don't see any adjusters when I look into those holes just what looks like a gasket or rubber seal behind the holes. The manual says that the trim ring does not need to be removed....but I see no other way to access the adjusting screws. Any advice?...trim ring on or off to access the adjusters?

Yes, just take the trim ring off and the adjusters are easily accessible. To take the trim ring off, it's just one screw in the bottom, and then rotate the ring counter-clockwise until it lifts off.
