All I have seen of the trucklite I do not like, it sticks out like an extra inch. Looks hideous to me
The Truck Lite does not protrude an inch...It does stick out a bit, but the Harley French ring fits nicely and negates that issue. I like the light, especially for the price vs. Daymaker cost. The light works well, a nice upgrade from stock Halogen in my opinion.
I apologize for the bugs all over the bike...just got back from a ride...time to clean the machine!
I am running the Truck Light TL-7. Truck Lite is the OEM for the Kuryakyn Phase 7 Headlamp sold by Harley. You can find these on e-bay brand new for less then $150.00.
Harley also sells a special cable for use with the Trucklite version. Save yourself the 3 bucks and special order. The Kuryakyn adapter is in stock and cheaper. Same part with a different part number.

I just bought the TL-7. I adjusted it down so I can leave the high beams on all the time. No one has flashed at me yet. I'm picking up the new trim ring today. So far, very satisfied for only spending $160 on the headlight. I'll get the Halo ring when it's available from Kuryakyn.

I know I've read on here a lot that TL makes the Harley Reflector Daymaker light but I don't believe it's actually true. The HD reflector is a lot different in construction than the TL. HD has a glass lense, chrome center divider and doesn't protrude. The Peterson 701c bulb is much closer to the HD unit and Peterson also make the KC LED which is virtually identical to the HD bulb. Or it could just be a china rip off version/mash up...
