If you are happy with the deal...then don't worry about what some one else does. My father in law isn't happy unless he has dickered for anything and everything. He may get the seller to come down a few hundred dollars and he thinks he stole something.
Not me. this is what I want. this is what I can afford. Do we have a deal? great. No. out the door to see someone else. My time is worth more than haggleing over a couple hundred bucks. Take it...I got to go.
Harley of Scottsdale had a few new touring bikes out under the tent two weeks ago with signs reading $2000 off (see photo below). When I asked about it they said they are clearing out inventory to make way for the 2015s. Whatever the reason, I suspect many dealers throughout the country are doing this now. So to answer the OP's question of "how did I do?" I'd say you did about as well as everyone is doing this month.

You knew the moment you signed the papers you got an outstanding deal. Good for you. So what opinions are you looking for?
Actually, you're right, because I came here for opinions about it before I signed the papers. Once the flaming and accusations of lying started, I knew I did ok. Thanks for your input though.

i agree i had a price in mind after all the upgrades i wanted to do. dealer came back with a high number i told him to get to a certain number and they were able to get pretty close so we had a deal.
weither its 21-22-23-24 who really cares, if your happy thats all that matters.
its only money

True. I love it so far. Feels good being back in the saddle after three years without one. Taking it up to the Dragon this weekend. My father's day gift to me.
Good going on your new Street Glide. I've got a 1997 Road King that I can't part with right now. I do have my sights on a Rushmore Limited...that's for another day.
Maggie Valley is my next destination which will be in a couple of weeks. I've never been there but I do know that Father's Day weekend is a great weekend for a road trip. I did the Dragon's Tail on this weekend a few years ago and the cars are much fewer.
I was just in Florida and stopped into the dealers in Panama City and Fort Walton Beach. Both dealers were asking $2000 over MSRP so I think it really all depends on where you are located.
Its all about location location location. That price in Los Angeles...you're getting pulled over by the cops within 500 feet of the dealership for stealing the bike. We just don't see prices like that here. Which reminds me...I gotta get out of this city.
