I've heard new bikes are coming in with V 1.17.5 already on them but as far as I can tell, 1.17.4 is still the latest update on the HD website. I doubt the dealer has access to anything else, they haven't for the past updates.

Angry .5 update

My dealer told me that a new 14 came in with the .5 installed called tech services and like always no fricking help! The support on the new infotainment systems is not what you would expect from H-D the .4 is all I see on their web site.

I see many here are referring to a radio update yet the thread topic is GPS update.

Which is it?

One in the same. The Infotainment unit contains AM/FM/WB/CB/Bluetooth radios, local intercom and a GPS. The 1.17.4/5 software that is being referred to is the operating system software of the entire unit.

My dealer tells me:
V 1.17.5 was installed in error on some 14 models at the factory.
V 1.17.5 will not be released on website.
V 1.18.x will be next update released & will be the official version released with MY 2015.
With all the rumors & misinformation, thought I'd just add more fuel to the fire.

So weird. My dealer told me the next version is:

V.2.0

Which will be loaded on my new 2016 Rushmore Redux SGS

Mine came with version 5 and when I was the dealer on Tuesday they said they were installing 5 on all bikes now in service so who know what dealer is really telling us the truth, but I do know mine has version 5

Really? Seriously? People are not buying Harley Ultra Limiteds because the GPS is soo bad and they are waiting for updates? Or a dealership is holding bike sales because the update is not out yet? I worked in a dealership and the first thing they want you to do is sign the paperwork and ride off the lot because once you do that you own that bike. No way in hell any dealership will hold bike sales up for a GPS update. That gives people too much time to think and they loose sales like that. The GPS is not nearly as terrible as you are making it out to be. Yea it can use some improvements but I have owned a lot of GPS systems including the Zumo and its not anywhere near the worse either. None of the other cruisers even come with integrated GPS. You have to move to a more expensive Gold Wing to get a system that integrated like the Infotainment system is. The Infotainment system is new to Harley's and so far I'm impressed! Sure it needs some updating but for what I do its not bad at all. Remember, the Infotainment system is not just a GPS, it does a hell of a lot more then any ZUMO ever made. Not to mention Harley is new to a product like this so its a learning curve for them as well to learn what it needs to be perfect. We are all early adopters and like early adopters we deal with glitches until they are worked out. If you start complaining the it should have all been worked out before production then I have a first gen $500 Xbox One that has glitches like crazy getting worked out monthly , $2,000 Denon A/V receiver I bought years ago that never streamed because of a glitch, A Surface Pro that works part of the time but is getting better over time, Almost every PC game I ever bought, Just about every single mobile phone purchase I made including the legendary I-Phone, Hell my first ZUMO 220 that came with BT was crashing every time it connected to my phone was fixed with an update 12 months after release, My Wifes Electric only Ford Focus still has glitches they are working out after a year of ownership. Come to think about it almost every 1st gen product I own had a glitch or two until they eventually got worked out. So stop crying the blues how terrible the Infotainment system is and start looking at some of the stuff it actually does real well. In time it will be PERFECT!

John
