Curious to wonder if we call HD will they email us the new download. Sorry but looks like MoCo needs to hire more programming geeks so they can work on these issues.
I don't see why Harley just doesn't focus on the waypoint limitation and push out that patch. That should not be a big coding thing to resolve. Its been almost a year since the 2014s hit the market and still no update for at least that glaring problem. I would have thought that they would have fixed that last winter. What also baffles me is that Harley didn't catch that during their testing phase.
I suspect because only a small number of customers care about having more than 9 waypoints. I know I don't. I think most are more concerned with the random freeze ups, etc., not adding more functionality to the unit. I'm fine with its feature set. It's what I expected of an in-vehicle system. I'd rather them concentrate on fixing bugs not adding features. Adding features only introduces more bugs.
Since I bought my bike there have been three versions of the software, each one fixed minor bugs. I'd like them to continue what they've been doing.
My Volume just started doing this. I went for dinner the other night and it worked when I stopped, but when I came back out and started the bike, it would not volume up or down.
You have to power the bike completely off then back on for it to come back. This has happened 3 times since then. These new switches work off the CANbus system and my guess is something is buggy or tieing up data within the CANbus system.
Actually I was in autotune with my PV at the time. This may have been it. I'll try to recreate it and report back.
This has happened to me @ a dozen times since Sep 1. Can't seem to recreate it. Have done updates twice to the current version. I am almost always playing MP3's from a memory stick. But I also stream pandora, so it doesn't seem to matter. Almost 18k on my bike and the system works good most of the time. But it's annoying to have to pull over and shut down the bike.
Then why not post it on here or email it to me and I'll host it for download.

Pardon my ignorance. I am currently downloading this new update. But if it is available why is it not on the hd website?
Probably not out publicly yet, but it does say anyone could download it. Anyway I updated just now and all went well. Just copy the .ISO file to a blank thumb drive and follow these directions
d. Turn your vehicles ignition switch to ACCESSORY.
e. Turn on the audio system and connect the USB flash drive to the audio
systems USB port.
f. The audio system will detect the new software available and ask if you want
to update. Select Yes. The display will prompt you to remove the USB drive when the update is complete.
NOTE: If the incorrect software file for your audio system is copied to the USB flash drive, and connected to the audio systems USB port, the following error message will result: The ISO image on the attached USB is corrupted or incompatible.
