I have that same problem and the dealer and the techs at Harley customer care will give you a truck load of BS. Customer care told me that my Iphone 5 operating system wasn't compatible with the radio.
I've had my bike into the dealer at lease 7 times with little nagging problems like this.
my low fuel intercator dosen't come on and ask to fine service station when I have low fuel, but after I fill up it does...totaly backward,
Problem is your POS iPhone, not the bike. The iOS isn't completely compatible. Apple thinks the world revolves around their rules. It doesn't.
As far as low fuel indicator is concerned, it'll work fine if you run the tank lower. Personally, I know how to read a fuel gauge & never let the level get low enough that I need to worry about whether the NAV system wants to volunteer to route me to a gas station. May be a cool feature, but I could care less.
Sounds like most of your nagging problems have to do with a new owner that hasn't figured out the bike's features yet. You have a very patient dealer to put up with that many returns for stupid owner issues w/o telling you to go home & read the manuals & learn how things work.
OK, i haven't tried that, my Iphone is hooked up blue tooth, the usb port i have an old ipod hooked up. so your issue does not exist when your hooked up like i am blue tooth sans usb port. might just be a design issue then.
Except the system works perfectly for me with an IPhone 5S. First are the phones jail broken and do they have the newest software from Apple?
you must be one of Harley techs. The techs at the dealer couldn't get it to work right ether.
Not sure if your girlie slap is directed at me.... Harley tech, no, 30 years Mercedes Benz factory tech rep focusing on telematics and entertainment systems. Enjoy your bike I sure enjoy mine including the Boom system.
That's because they're not Apple techs. Problem's not with the bike.
In my car experience many iPhone issues were cured by updating the phone software, jailbroken iPhones never worked 100%. You seem to dislike iPhone so enjoy your phone.
