They no longer do the o ring push rod rebuild... They have redesigned the master cylinder... It has to do with the number of times you operate the clutch... after a certain number the orings start falling apart causing a pressure leak. ... i ride 80 miles a day in stop n go traffic... my rebuild failed at 5k... 3 months after the rebuild. if i had the rebuild i would spend my own money to get the retooled Master cylinder

There have been several people post or start threads saying that they had the clutch fail with the new "A" revision master cylinder. Others that have bikes built this spring that should have come with the revised master cylinder have reported failures also. But most bikes have never had an issue. I've gone over 7K miles since the recall with no issues. I saw someone else post they have 30K with no issues.

My FLHTK was built in 8/13. I bought it in early September and I had a problem with the clutch 3 weeks later at 2700 miles. I took it to the dealer and they bled the master cylinder and got some air out of the line. 2 weeks later HD announced the recall to rebuild the master cylinder while I was on a road 4000 miles road trip. When I returned home I had the recall work completed at 9100 miles. The bike now has 21000 miles on it and the only time I experienced any clutch problems was when it was 3 weeks old prior to the HD recall. As Greg2012FLHTK noted there have been several members who have reported clutch failures both with bikes that had the recall work done and with bike that were manufactured after the recall. It appears to me that there is still a problem that has affected a small number of bikes. I think we may see another recall coming.
