Changed bars to wild 1s 12.5 today. Everything went well taking the old off and putting the new bars on, got to the end, put the ignition switch back in and it turns all ways, forks unlock and everything but nothing is turning on. Something not aligned right? Watched the YouTube video but still no luck

 

You need the switch alignment tool. New one for 2014, old one for previous years probably won't work. I made the mistake of turning mine when doin the install. I bought one from George's garage. Maybe the local shop will loan you one.

 

Talked to the service guy up at the local dealer, said if I can bring it up tomorrow morning he'll fix it for free... Just keep wondering where I messed it up. Watched that video a couple of times before tearing into it!

 

ya its not aligned right. take it back out and try again. you will get it.....

 

Well... As always it seems when it rains it pours. Took the bike on a trailer for a "quick fix" and they couldn't get it either. Said it could be a messed up ignition switch all together. Although they were really cool about it, still sucks. Wanted to ride all weekend to test the new seat and bars
