2014 SGS and I removed the ignition switch. According to the video which I was following if after releasing the underside pin you rotate the lock back to the off position and remove you can replace switch if you don't move the bars. Well when I replaced the switch it is now misaligned somehow because I cannot remove the switch to realign. (I do have the tool and should have used it to align and reinsert switch).
I have tried to remove the switch in all different switch positions while turning key and depressing the underside button to no avail. I have not rotated the bars to the left in the fork lock position for fear if it locks then I cannot move the bike.
Anyone know any trick to get the switch out. I can then try using the tool. TIA.
Thanks MMesa but even following the video I cannot get it to come out. And even though the switch rotates the ignition is totally dead, no lights ....nothing.
