I took the ignition switch off when I took my inner fairing off. I have watched the video on youtube. When I reinstalled it I can't get the forks to lock. What am I doing wrong? Everything else works like it should, but won't lock.
Are you pushing down on the switch when you try to lock it? The lock won't engage unless you're applying downward pressure on the switch at the same time.
The switch is in. The problem i'm having is the forks won't lock when I turn the switch to lock them. The switch is inthe locked postion, but the you can turn the handle bars freely.
I did the same thing 2 weeks ago make the tool shown in the utube but only flatten 1/4 inch (this only grabs the lower ring) use it turning the handle bars right till the fork locks good luck
