I had MCC do the narrow and push back 1.5", memory foam and deluxe heater in the rider seat. Did not have the switch for the heater installed in the seat, I control that using relays and switches located in dash panel. Seat still looks stock but feels a lot greater on the Butt!!! All in all I am extremely pleased with the comfort of the seat now vs stock. A world of difference. Highly recommend MCC
I agree - I would also return it. Not to "hijack" this thread, but hogowner69can you post results on your narrow seat mod. With a 30" inseam, I am considering the same mod. To the OP, I have had MCC do my last 5 seats on my Harleys. I HIGHLY recommend them. FANTASTIC to deal with to say the least.
Harleymike...I will let you know by next week. My actually date for the Mod is Monday..July 28th...As soon as I get it back...I will let you know...I have a 29" inseam...I added 3/4" sole to my boot...but still want to "foot" the bike better...so I am getting the mod..heard good things about it...I LOVE my riding position...so told them to only lower it....again...will let you know by next week
Thanks much for all the opinions I hope this post helps other on the fence with MCC. Now to decide what I don't like about the seat maybe just the well it feels . Riding position and height I feel is fine .
About 8 years ago I had memory foam put in my sundowner and I was happy. Fast forward to 2014, I sent my EG seat for modification to add memory foam and move the seating position back as far as possible. Sorry to say, after two tries to get it right it was unsuccesful.
I have been surfing the parts for sale section and noticed there were at least three MCC modified seats for sale on the first page. I'm sure there are many more happy customers so it's all a crap shoot. Just be cautious.
My MOD was done JUly 28th...got it back the 30th..all I can say is WOW
I am 5'6"...so I got the Super Narrow which I asked to bring me down the 2 full inches....but leave my riding position the same. Not only did it bring me down where I can now "foot the bike", the seat with the new pad is much more comfortable...
I can honestly say..this was the BEST mod I did to this bike...
MCC not only has GREAT customer service....but the quality of work is OUTSTANDING!!!
We just had MCC mod the stock seat on my wife's 2014 SGS and she loves it. MCC was very easy to work with, communication was great, and the turnaround time was immediate after the schedule mod date. We recommend them.
I got my first ride Sunday with my new seat. a little over 100 miles and all I can say is everything you've read about the seat mod is pretty true. I'm flat footed in tennis shoes and the seat is very comfortable!
