Just wanted to ask if anyone out there has been using and enjoying it, those gel type seats? Like corbin, saddleman, etc. are these gel type seat any better than the tradition foam type seats? thanks
Oh YES!!!!!!!! If you buy a new seat and don't get saddle gel in it when you order it, you will regret it...BIGTIME! It makes a HUGE improvement in comfort for a lousy 75 bucks extra...THE BEST 75 BUCKS YOU WILL EVER SPEND! My brother and I both got new seats a couple years ago, mine includes gel, his doesn't...He kicks himself EVERY time we go riding...He is in pain, I am in heaven...Danny Gray seats are awesome. Check sterling seats on ebay for a good deal. Ride safe.
I had my stock seat redone with gel foam and it's the 2nd best thing I did for my bike, butt and tailbone.
Who did your seat Tony? I had the double memory foam done to mine last summer it was an improvement but I would be sore after a while. I was thinking of sending it back and having the gel installed, just don't know if it would be worth the time and money or maybe it's time to start seat shopping again???????
Gel is cold in winter and hot in the summer, I personally don't like it. But I live in the land of extreme weather. We only have a few days a year of SoCal type weather. It is almost always cold or hot!
This isn't gel, it's gelfoam and it's frigging awesome! It's kind of heavy and when it's in your hand it feels wet, like if you squeeze it water will come out but of course it doesn't. I am so glad I did this for the reasons I read here in all these threads, guys buying, 2, 3 or 4 seats. I got this seat redone and I'm done. I also got my 2 rear pillion seats done and my front and back backrests done too. Then finished in black and white to match the bike. This guy is about an hour away and adjustments made, if needed, without shipping it back and forth. I don't know that I can post his business here so I will send you a private message Fat11Lo. I think if I were you though I would try and find someone local to you, a custom interior guy, maybe one that has done seats for bikes too. Good luck.

Thats kinda how the Corbin stuff feels. The biggest deal was riding it with just the foam and making adjustments before they covered it.
