INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. 1998 to current HD Ultra Classic
2. Remove tour trunk liner.
3. Locate and remove rubber grommet from around OEM wiring harness located in lower left corner of tour trunks’ front wall.
4. Utilizing factory wiring hole – route Sierra Sena harness out of trunk (note-on some year models, it may be necessary to route cable from outside trunk to inside trunk).
5. Route approximately 16” of cable out of tour trunk.
6. Re-install rubber grommet in hole around both harnesses.
7. Connect 5 pin din plug from Sierra Sena harness to passenger 7 pin din headset connector located under left rear speaker pod. Secure harness with tie wraps.
8. Make a small opening in tour trunk liner for Sierra Sena harness to enter inner trunk. Route the three connectors from the harness through the opening.
9. Re-install tour trunk liner.
10. We have found it convenient to mount the Sena module by clamping it to the tour trunk liner or by using Velcro to hold unit in place. Mount a fully charged Sena SMH-10 into the clamp.
11. Installation is complete, see operating instructions on reverse side.
On 2014-15's if you use the passenger connection you'll use the ability to use Harley's "Voice Recognition" system for the control of the Radio and Navigation. Try plugging your corded headset into the passenger port and then pressing the VR button on the left controls, you get nothing...
I've got a Sena SR10 and harness I made as well as a harness for the Sena SMH10 like the Sierra one only my SMH10 harness actually mounts under the seat. I made them and both work with my Harley but I'm getting rid of both. if anyone's interested then PM me. Not looking to make much of anything. Just recoup costs of materials and move on to the next project.
Only the SMH10 harness left now. I'll sell it for $100 plus shipping for anyone interested which I figure isn't bad if you account for the Sena clamp which costs $40 by itself. As for me, i just finished installing and testing the AKE Bluetooth device that Spoiled biker used to sell. Still not carried by anyone stateside I learned so I contacted the company in Germany and had one delivered. Link to my thread is posted below. It's a long one!
I know this is an old post but I just purchased the Sierra Electronics -mc SMH10. Interface harness. Works great and makes my Harley OEM CB totally wireless. Quick and easy install in my saddle bag. Also installs in a tour pak. Only down side is when some one trying to transmit to you on the CB when your listening to your Bluetooth music device doesn't override the music so you have to have the fairing speakers on high volume so you know they're trying to com with you. Push the jog dial to open the cb then transmit.
Anyone still considering the Sena SMH10 wireless and HD Audio Interface? I recently installed it on my 08 Street Glide and love it. I'd be more than happy to answer any question about functionality.

Went the same route and so far so good... Tried the AKE adapter first but the "side tone" was just too much of a distraction for me... Just got the SM10 dual yesterday to add to the setup to improve the fidelity of the tunes... Will probably try to set that portion up sometime this weekend...

Have a SGS as well.
Just getting on board with wireless audio.
What is the HD Audio Interface?

what's the difference in side tone you experienced? Is it less or gone all together? I still have a Sena clamp that is currently set up for a roadglide or streetglide to be connected in the fairing like the Sierra harness but It can be wired up to the audio connectors under the seat on the ultras. if anyone is still trying to go this route and wants to save a few bucks PM me and I can modify this to your specific model and sell for less.
