Default harley superbike?

emoed a CVO limited with 114. Really the first time I rode a stock Harley with superbike power. This engine is really beastly. Plenty of low end torque. Immense run on power. Very impressed.

ROTFL! Until the MoCo comes out with a motor that can turn at 12K+ RPM AND put out 180+ HP AND a bike that weighs in at under 400 lbs, it will be hard pressed to call it a "Superbike".

Oh lord.... sure, if the RGS lost about 100 lbs and got Ohlins front and rear, and that 114 came in at 140/140 one could call it "sporty."

I highly recommend you try a real super bike now. A super bike will pass the 114 going max speed...and then shift to 2nd gear. It's not even close.

Thanks for this, I didn't want to be too hard on the OP, apparently he's never ridden a REAL superbike on a track...Not that I wouldn't be interested in a real or even near Harley superbike. Even the Buells can't come close...

Miss the performance of my 2k6 GSXR 1000 I had...I'll prolly buy a new literbike next.

My FXDL has good around town torque but in pure performance there is no comparison.

If HD would build it I would buy for sure. I dearly miss my Yamaha R1.

All that matters is that you are happy, but the 114 is unfortunately not a super bike. The 114 is rated at 101 horsepower, perhaps a little more with a good tuner and dyno. To put that into perspective, (and I hate to admit it) my wife's 2015 Can Am Spyder F3 1330 is 115 horsepower, 97 pounds torque, revs to 10,000 rpm, and is about the same weight as my 2016 RGS. I had a 2006 Honda ST1300 that was about 120 horsepower. I've also owned a Honda CBR1000rr, and none of Harley's factory offerings approach a bike in that category. I sure miss that CBR. I ride my Harley because it's comfortable and I like it, it's certainly not for performance. If I wanted performance I'd go with the aftermarket. Oh, and don't race a 2015 Can Am Spyder F3.

Im sure your bike is plenty fast, but please take a super bike for a ride and report back to us. Sometimes i get the itch to pick up another GSXR 1K

Superbike power? Unless your pushing 200 horsepower your not quite there yet lmao. Especially on a 800 lb motorcycle.

Have you ever ridden a sport bike?
