2021 FLTRX and went to install the Legend Revo-A rear shocks today. Legend says to use factory torque specs for the upper/lower bolts so I searched and most say the manual shows 63-70 ft lbs for M8 Touring models, 35-40 ft lbs for all others. So, Tightened to 65 and it compressed the aluminum spacers included with the shocks to the point where they don't pivot at the bolts. UGH.
Can somebody with an actual service manual confirm the proper torque specs? Called Legend support and they said not to go above 50 ft lbs (wish the instructions said that!). Hoping they send out some new spacers.
I did look here first and found this same image stating 30-40 Rushmore non-M8, 63-70 Rushmore M8. Can't see any reason why a 2021 with the same shock/bolt/washer part numbers as a 2020 would not have the same torque rating. The Legend instructions simply say "install shocks"... that's it. But when I called they said they recommend 50. Their YouTube video says to "see your factory service manual for torque settings".
