So, I traded my 2017 Ultra Roadglide for a 2020 Heritage 114. was looking at going for a Sport Tourer when I got a deal I couldn't refuse. I am completely happy with my choice, but is it a touring cruiser or a cruiser that can tour? I say a Sport Touring Cruiser. prove me wrong.....

If I am not mistaken, Harley had the Heritage in their cruiser class until 2019. It then appeared in the touring class where it is today. I would put it in the perfect "touring cruiser" class for me because it does not do that well in dirt and gravel mountain trails (I tried).
Traded my Heritage 2018 107 in on a new Road King. after a brief 2 months of joy at first, I knew I had made a mistake and a sympathetic dealership helped me back into a new 2019 - 114. It fits every box I need checked and have just over 23,000 miles on it in 19 months. I like it.

Enjoy that ride and stay safe
I found it very interesting that the MoCo moved the Heritage into the Touring Class. It puts it in direct competition with the Road King. Unless there are plans to reduce the Road King down in model availability and they have made the Heritage the "entry level" Touring bike. I don't think the Road King is selling as well as the rest of the Touring line-up, since for basically the same money you can get a Electraglide Standard/ Streetglide/ or even a base Roadglide. Funny they didn't add the Sport Tour Softail in since it has Tour in the name........ I

I'd say more of a sport/cruiser/touring/adventure bike.

Exactly, I thought it was only me who thought this! I go everywhere on my Heritage, I love it. I once took a wrong turn at a state park and got on a deep gravel service road for over five miles. I also had my wife on the back. I just putted along no problem. But then on the other hand I love to blitiz the twisties through the farms in Lancaster PA.
To me, it's a hybrid cruiser/tourer. Can do both really well. But for anyone considering it, a highway test ride is a must before passing on a Touring model. In fact, I wish I had rented a Heritage for a weekend before deciding.
I love my Heritage naked (the bike not me...) on the backroads under 50mph but more than 30-45min on the highway 50mph+ with the windscreen on and I'm fatigued (and deaf) from the turbulence and that's WITH a properly sized Freedom shield, fangs, and earplugs. The issue with the Heritage is the air coming up from below.... it rides up your chest.... and relentlessly pounds the bottom of the helmet. The bobble head with the stock windscreen was helped with a 19" Freedom Shield, but the hurricane behind the screen persists. For anyone experiencing this, place your forearm across your chest while riding and it quiets down significantly. The turbulence is reduced because your arm is deflecting the air forward away from the bottom of your helmet. I even ordered 2 different helmets from Revzilla and the drumming in the helmet from the turbulence wasn't improved. The only other thing left to try is installing an engine guard and lowers and maybe that might help.
Rode a 21 road glide yesterday and what a difference. On the road glide, you sit further back from the screen and forks so the turbulent air can be felt coming up at mid-thigh vs the waist, so the rough air is in front of the helmet vs under it. The rear suspension on the RG was harsh but I'm seriously considering moving to the RG with a rear suspension upgrade.

All good observations but the RK really does "tour" more comfortably IMO. I found the Heritage to be much easier to handle on curves and always confident with control. The RK was a dream on Interstate but most of my riding is secondary and country roads. Another advantage for me is I am relatively short and weigh !52 pounds. Moving the RK or Street Glide in close quarters or on gravel at idle never felt good to me and they were not doing what I wanted them to do.
