Has anyone went with wide tire on front? Looking at 150 if space measures out ok.
I already have a 150 on rear and plenty of room and will go with 160 next time (a bit much for rim) but have done that for 1000s of miles on other bikes same width rim.

I have changed tires myself several times and I can tell you the stock size barely passes through the front fender during removal. I would not put a 160 rear tire on a 3" rim.

What do you expect to accomplish with a wider front tire besides slower, heavier steering?

With only having a few days with a 2021 Heritage rental (about 600 miles), coming from a 2002 Wide Glide, I did notice the whole setup of the Heritage and, I suspect, the larger front tire helped with a smoother, less tiresome ride on long trips. That said, I did test ride a 2021 Fat Boy a few months ago. While it looks cool and rides well straight down the road, it turns like a truck. It did not feel not natural and I had to force myself to lean on turns. I would guess, a wider tire on a Heritage would have a similar result?

Reason: .
You should do a test ride from a dealer. I own a 2019 Heritage and rented one in Maui. Let me tell you, the rental drove like a truck compared to mine. It’s an unfair comparison.

Just the filled fender fatter look which may include smoother ride.
Rode many miles on a 1982 FLH that way and it was truly enjoyable.
Have only graduated to newer bikes since 2016 and spent most life riding hardtail 12 over shovel heads (still riding them) so I can't do to much in the handling to bother me as everything is an upgrade to what I am used to. I actually prefer a bike that is harder to push into turns over easy because of the miles on aforementioned bikes.

Ran a 10mm Allen wrench all the way around on both sides yesterday with still a small bit of movement so probably 11 to 12 mm clearance on fender with my current 130 tire.
So will probably go with a 140 when I have to replace tire down the road. Your front tire appears fatter than mine, are you running a fatter tire or is it just the angle of picture? Great looking bike.
And yeah may wait on wider rim to go bigger than the 150 on back, thanks!

Yes, I've found other brands to be wider than the stock Dunlops. I'm also using 3.5" wide rims (stock are 3.0"). I'm now using Metzler CruiseTec. They are the best I've had on the bike. Really nice ride and handling.

Thanks for input and sure found a bunch more stuff I need to do after seeing your improvements! 1st time I ever read up on the DD7 and really like the gear ratios of the gears!👍
Too bad HD doesn't make a machine like yours! Definitely muc much IMPROVED!

Was actually glad to see someone else go thru tires so fast as I myself would do great to get 4k on a back tire anyway. But as you are taking both tires out, your definitely running some real good soft compound tires and VERY safe tires on that!
Anyone know of any vendors offering fender trim for the newer Heritages? I have looked multiple times and cant find anything. I really want them in black, but will paint or PC if not available. Called HD and amazed at the price for a few pieces of small plastic. Everything I see is for older or touring models. Would older models fender trim fit? Appreciate any help.
