Rob58 - which extenders did you buy? When I key in PN …0177 HD Parts says it does NOT fit 2022 HSC 114. Thanks

I have cast wheels on mine too if you've ever been stranded on the side of the road with a flat and no way to fix because you had spoke wheels you'll want cast wheels after that .

My understanding is they do fit just fine on the Heritage.
But, because the left switch doesn't have the symbol for the auxiliary lights, they are listed as not fitting a Heritage.

I bought a set off amazon myself (no real savings btw), but haven't. gotten around to installing them.
Sure looks to be a heck of a lot easier installation than on my 04 RK. That was a bugger of a job.

Ah, ok, makes sense, thanks.

It’s happened to me exactly once in 35 years and over 300,000 miles. Not something I worry about.

The time it did happen was on the way home after a rear tire change. The dealership apparently had a bad batch of inner tubes that split. They had two more tubes fail while trying to repair the tire

Those levers look really cool. Is that why you got them, for looks, or was there another reason too, like ergonomics or something?

I've got my 2021 Heritage pretty close to what I want, but have been reading about rear shocks.

Stock shock is 'ok', servicable, but wonder if maybe going to a slightly longer shock like Fox 13.5" long might be better / softer? Ohlins too short, Progressives close.
If I adjust the stock shock too high it rides harsh an jittery. Too soft and it bottoms over edges and train tracks.

Is this the right thread for this question?

It's a valid location, but there are other threads you will find more interesting. For the Heritage isn't the corner carver choice, usually.

Anyhow, do a search on @FranBunnyFFXII and see where she's made some posts on shocks and such, then go read that thread and the area she's posted in. By no means is she the only one who rides hard and can address directly what you're asking. But she's very down to earth and clearly spoken.

I have the longer Fox shock. I like the shock, and I am happy with it, but it is very difficult to adjust the pre-load. I left it about 3/4 of the way up and it rides very well two up and solo. I understand Wilbers has a great shock for the Heritage, but it is pricey.
