The Everything 2018+ Heritage Thread
Hey, I just picked up a '23 Heritage, and the original owner installed a set of NARROW T-BARS on it, and according to the dealer they contacted him and he either no longer has the stock bar/riser, or can't find them, whichever. Riding it with the T-Bar setup is an adventure, to say the least. They have to go, and now.
Wondering if any of you might have a stock handlebar and riser, either/both, laying around your garage or storage shed and might want to get rid of them if I would pay the shipping cost (85226). The bike has the chrome/polished finish, so looking for the same finish bars/riser. The dealer will work with me if I have to buy replacements, but thought I'd try the Forum here first. Also have a couple local take-off parts sources to look into. It's going to cost a small fortune to have them do the R&R job, but no way I want to tackle that job. Said they will also try to help me out with the labor, but still going to cost some $$. In hindsight, I should have passed on the bike for this reason alone, but they did make me a good deal, I like the paint (Bright Billiard Blue/Billiard Gray), AND it has the Bassani Road Rage 2-into-1 full exhaust already, so ready to do the touring saddlebag conversion, which I've been wanting to do on an M8 Heritage since they first came out.
BTW, I'm in Chandler, AZ, and open to suggestions if any of you know any other possible sources in the Metro Phoenix areal
Appreciate it!

Sorry I do not have any stock chrome bars. The set that I have are black. But if you get in a spot, I do have a chrome riser & clamp I need to get out of my garage. Honestly the stock bars are throwaways for me. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. I have them here for sale on Member Marketplace if you want to see the picture. May have to go back a year or more to find it LOL

This is my first over-winter with a lithium battery (LiFePO4), and it stored great. I asked the manufacturer how to store it over winter. They told me to leave it in the bike, which I'm thankful for because softail battery trays are a kluge to get at - it's really jammed in there. They said to just pull the main fuse, then replace and charge in the spring. I did that and it hardly took any charge.
Love it. But you got to buy a quality battery - not cheapo Chinese junk. Members have reported failures with those.
*Yes, there were many tools. Dremel, allen wrench, ratchet wrench, hand wrench, vice grips, hammer, snips blah blah. I have a long winded how-to in the 'General' forum if you are interested. I think it looks much better than the "billboard" stock.
I also added a chineesium version of the EZ-shift. I am the guy who rolls their eyes at someone who can't find neutral. I am the guy who says "adjust your clutch correctly dipsh!t". Until I bought this used heritage last year. it's harder then finding a good woman to marry now a days. works awesome. I mean it's a game changer. I'll probably spring for the real mccoy EZ-Shift.
Just finished the front forks with DK Custom Intiminator Fork Valve Dampers and Progressive Springs. Awesome ride improvement.
Now for the rear monoshock - after much hem and haw and member input, I'm going with Ohlins, tariffs be damned. All settled, right? Nope - MoCo got into the game with branded SE Ohlin for +$250 more. Wtf for? They added an external oil reservoir. Why? Any performance shock I ever bought was self-contained nitrogen-over-oil. Bilstein 4600 HD Shocks come to mind. Bought a bunch of those for trucks, RV's, etc.
Has anybody tried the SE Ohlins? Any difference in ride?
