Was able to work out a deal for this 2018 so I brought it home with me.
Having some issues already, doh!
The bike has a feuling vented dipstick and I think the dealer overfilled the oil so it was puking oil out the vent. Oil got all over the muffler and rear caliper when I got home(didnt notice during short test ride).
The front brake makes a squealing sound sometimes as the bike is almost stopped. Sounds like a dump truck.
Congrats on the bike. That blue sure looks nice, I have a red one. Sorry I can't help on the Fueling dip stick as I don't have one.
I also get that squealing (not high pitch) sound on mine just before a stop. I've read others do too.
I'm going to try cleaning the rotor really well. If that doesn't help, I may try going with different pads.
Couple of pictures from my ride last Sunday. Went to a local lake with lots of turns & switchbacks along the way. I know this bike is not a sport bike, but it sure did great on this twisty road.
Still loving the way it handles, it's good enough for me.
The front brake squeal is unfortunately normal. I had to switch to EBC sintered pads. Has been quiet ever since.
I ordered some galfer pads for the front and ebc pads for the rear.
But yeah the brake squeal is kind of hit and miss. Doesn't do it all the time but usually it starts right as I'm almost completely stopped. Seems like once it starts it keeps doing it

Hey, I like that red color!
Which turn front turn signal relocation did you use on your bike? I want to relocate mine to the same location as yours.
And actually, so far I feel like the Low Rider handles well but I definitely get more lean angle on my Sportster Iron with longer fork and shocks.
Already picked up low rider st taller shock.

Yes, mine growled like a freight train stopping. Seems the stock pads are prone to do this.

They were on the bike when I bought it. In the paperwork from the previous own was a receipt from J&P Cycles for "49mm Turn Signal Clamps" Part number 3050108
Great forum, fantastic opportunity to see your photos and discussions over the last 5-6 years. I'm learning all the time. Bought this bike some weeks ago and put 2500 km on it. Overall very happy but the handlebar is not right and with my 5'8 I can't reach well. Does anyone know the dimension of the stock bars? The code should be 55800693 but I cannot find it in the lists online. If I knew the dimensions then I could look for a handlebar which brings the controls say 2" closer. Any help appreciated. Apart from this I would like to keep it stock for now, maybe just replace smaller things for looks.
Hi, I have sold the bike, however I succeeded to have the control closer to me, switching to the Heritage bar. Both cable must be changed as well but it is a game changer.
