I just wish I could get a good YouTube video comparing the street cannons to the stock exhaust on the lowrider.

I was considering a new bike recently and I was talking with the head of the dealers' parts department, a guy I know, part of my family actually.

We talked about the Street Cannons. He said they are two decibels louder than stock. He said if you're looking for added sound, they won't do you much good. Two decibels.

They don't give you much performance either. So: A teeny, tiny bump in sound and performance. For $430. I don't understand why people even consider them.

I have first hand experience with the SE Street Cannons, the new version is louder than the older ones and I'm happy with the sound and performance. The new Street Cannons on my Low Rider have the cat built in to keep them EPA compliant. It's a straight through baffle design, I can see right through from one end to the other on mine even with the cat in there.

Do you like your bike quiet? There's nothing wrong with that, a lot of guys don't like loud pipes.

But if the guy wants louder pipes, I'm giving him the specs. Street Cannons are two decibels above stock. They are not going to be loud.

Also, are you sure the new street canons are louder? I've heard from the old-timers just the opposite, that the older ones were louder because of the new, stricter EPA rules Harley has to follow.

The simple answers I think are that a lot of people:

a) don't now very much about aftermarket solutions
b) buy only parts/accessories from their dealers
c) have dealers that are rigid about following EPA/HD policies to the letter and they are concerned about warranty denial issues.

Like I said, This is my first hand experience, not what I heard.

Dude, I'm not arguing with you or disagreeing. I'm saying some people, a lot of people, just like loud pipes and that the Street Cannons won't give that to you.

Myself, I favor loud pipes and I would never blow money on street cannons.

Default New Low Rider

Hi everyone I am new to this forum. I currently have a 2018 Street Glide that I love. But!!! Wanted something to whip around town on. I rode a deluxe, fat boy and the low rider. The low rider was by far the best for what I want. I was supposed to be picking up a vivid black low rider tomorrow but after seeing the picks of the midnight blue I am a bit conflicted. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and I look forward to picking your brains going forward. I do have a quick question for those that have the Harley street slammer bars. How tall are you and how is that reach? I like the look of the bars but I am only 5”8 and don’t want to feel like I am on a crouch rocket again. Thanks for your help.

I thought I read somewhere that the stock catalytic converters are in the headpipes, not the mufflers.
