Hey Jeff

We have a few Thousand of you Guys Down Under here at the moment Tanks, F35 strike fighters,USS Ronald Reagan and a lot of Hardware, for Operation Talisman Sabre every 2 years we get together and have some Fun also the funny thing is the Chinese Navy have a spy ship sitting in international waters trying to copy us ,we should use those silly ****** as target Practice LOL
Installed a new sissy bar and luggage rack on my 2018 lowrider my wife really doesn't like to ride much but she likes to go out every once in awhile so I figure this is the least I could do to accommodate her. Not only that the luggage rack give me a place to put my day bag.
Hey all. I just got my FXLR last night. Twisted Cherry. Bars are currently stock. My last bike was a 1993 FXRS with much more buck-horny buckhorns than the Low Rider. But I like the FXLR bars a lot. They are just way too low. I'm thinking of putting the stock bars on some 9.5" risers (and maybe rotating toward the rider a few degrees to get them to point down a little more).
I have not taken a look at the parts list for a bar swap or the area under the tank yet. I'm mostly curious: as Mchad said, do I just get my dealer to order upper clutch, brake, control and throttle extensions? Are the control and throttle extensions necessary if I'm keeping the stock bars or is there enough wire to go up to 9.5"?
The bike came with a chrome sissy bar, black luggage rack, chrome windshield, and black mustache bars. I'm probably going to move to strictly chrome for all of it. Here are some pics as it appears now.

You'll prob need clutch and brake at a minimum, maybe the wire extensions and the longer TBW set up. I put custom 12" straight t bars on my 2019 and got away with all stock stuff, saving me a boat of vash add it adds up fast. Issue is you are keeping the stock bars and they are very wide. Narrower T bars take advantage of how long the cables need to be for the stock LR bars width. My buddy put lucky 13s on his 2018 and needed longer clutch cable and brake line. He ended up not needing the wire extensions but it was VERY close and he did use the longer TBW. My guess is with the stock bars just going up to 9.5" you will likely need at least a longer upper clutch line along with the brake hose but you may not need the wire extensions and TBW. Pretty sure they use the same wiring harnesses and TBW control on the SBob with 12" apes, which i took full advantage of. Good luck with it!

Congrats on the new lowrider I love that color almost thinking about trading my 2018 just to get that color, well not really but I do love that color.
I just ordered a set of risers, 3.5" up and about 1" - 1.25" back; that's about all I'm looking for and like the stock bars.
My question is, with the stock bars and these risers, do you guys think I can get away without changing the non-ABS brake line, clutch cable and/or throttle wires?

I made the switch to Street Bob apes and the clutch and brake are at their limit, not tight but certainly not enough slack to go any higher.👍
