I hope everyone has better luck with their FXLR than I did. I barely got 900 miles on the odometer before the bike was toast. It was picked it up with a wrecker last week.
It locked up on me going down the highway, if it wasn't for that fat tire I would have lost it before I could pull on the clutch. Dealer said no warranty I would have to pay. I bought it brand new off the showroom floor. I called Eagle Mark and thought maybe they could help or give advice, yep they sent a wrecker, being auctioned at the end of the month. That was my last Harley. With owning over 30 bikes of several brands in my lifetime this beats all.
Also interested in what happened. I have a 2020 LR with just over 2,000 mi on it that is back at the dealer again for a noise which seems to be coming from the lower left side. Sounds like a Whoo Whoo Whoo when coming to a stop or even cruising at lower speeds, don't hear it when on the throttle, not clutch, brake or wheel bearing related. Maybe drive belt related? Lacking confidence in the dealer, originally they told me to ride it and maybe it would go away, oh boy. So put another 200 mi on it with no change, so back it went.
Dropped it off last Friday, so we'll see.

thinking it was oil related. I always check the bike out before riding and oil was good. Afterward I couldn't get a reading on the stick, is this the sumping problem I hear about ? Never had a bit of a problem before this. It always ran strong and oil level never changed.
