For those who did heated grips on your Fat Boy, what did you use to pull the counterweight out of the bars?
Someone said vice grips?
Is there a way if you dont have any vice grips? Or am I gonna have to just grab some?
I pulled mine out (Sport Glide) with a chisel by prying between the handlebar and the shoulder of the weight, then grabbed it with a pair of pliers. It’s held in there with an o ring, not a press fit.

A question for the more knowledgeable than I on lighting...
I want to keep the OEM rear indicators (run/brake/indicators) but want to add an additional rear LED run/brake light.
I also want to run an LED license plate light.
The question is...
Can I splice into my OEM wiring, or do I need something like a Custom Dynamics Custom Rear Wiring Adapter Kit?
(albeit, the latter states it only works if the OEM rear lighting is removed).
Any help and guidance would be much appreciated.
The dealer installed mine. Pics here: (link to earlier post)
They ended up adding the new brake light to the brake light connector. It is a separate connector than the left and right turn indicators.. even though the stock brake lights are the indicators.
I am a bit disappointed in the finish of my black Kodlin 3in1. I sold my FXFBS a month or 2 ago and had my black Kodlins removed before the sale because I had plans in mind for black fender struts on my FLFB.
To prevent scratches on the Kodlin I taped it with special body tape, now yesterday I remove it after mounting it on the struts and just pull off the black paint in several places. Bit disappointed in the quality of the
finish, for that price I expect better, now I have to repaint them.

I am surprised it did that. The chrome ones i have seem ok. Email them. They may replace them.
I just wish they were a little easier to see during the day.
I may need to add a strip under the fender. I have an email into custom dynamics to see if their bar is a 4 wire with amber turns so it is actually plug and play with my setup as well.

Yeah, my chromes are okay too, the blacks were okay too until I put the tape on them. I wanted to prevent damage, but I just made some damage ... it is not normal that the paint just comes off,
it was also special body tape that I used and not duct tape or anything. I'm not going to contact them, I don't feel like a long story, I'm going to sand them down a bit, prime them and paint them and
I'm done. Maybe I'll email them the photo later on to show how badly the finish has adhered. and that I solved the problem myself.

It was regualar 3M Scotch 244 UV masking tape I use for all my masking / paint jobs, never had a problem with it and it was no more then 3 days on the blinkers....
I think just bad preparation before they did the paint job at Kodlin
I'm gonna drop this here, so yall can have a quick look at it before anyone else. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...-open-box.html
Those really nice looking fat boy axle caps I got, I ended up never installing them, and after my bike theme started taking shape I realized I wanted to reduce things off of the build instead, so I'm selling these.
If I hadn't leaned into the chopper theme with my bike and it's paint, I'd have loved these.
But they don't fit that theme I'm going for.
