Everything 2018 FatBoy thread
Unfortunately, I can't find the email. So I went in today and request the info again.
Only the last three are for the 2018 and up Fatboy's.

From a practicality point of view, I need some saddlebags/panniers.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice as far as H-D ones are concerned - I only found one set!
Plus, I'll need some sort of mounting hardware.
Happy to go aftermarket.
I don't want to have to relocate the indicators.
I was thinking sling-overs but what about supports?
TIA
I put Viking bags on mine.
I have been doing some research into saddlebags and docking hardware.
What I want is something that I can leave on the bike, when it's unattended, without worrying about someone removing them or indeed removing the contents in the saddlebag(s).
I also want to be able to remove the bags without leaving any brackets on the bike.
So, I'll need some Quick Release, Lockable Docking/Mounting Hardware and some lockable saddlebags.
I REALLY liked the Saddleline 446L's but wasn't sure about the fitment, so I had a chat with Saddleline Customer Services - who were very helpful.
The docking/mounting is a bracket that attaches to the fender rail. (This means that the docking bracket remains on the bike)
Then the saddlebag slots onto the bracket.
The only way it is lockable is from inside the saddlebag, so, you then need to ensure that the saddlebag is lockable.
Here's an illustration of the mounting instructions.
I continued to hunt around and then came across Easy Brackets - this looks like they will be perfect.
Lockable and all that is left on the fender rail are the docking posts.
This also allows you to use pretty much any saddlebag.
So, now it's just a case of finding some lockable saddlebags albeit I could use any saddlebag and get the H-D Universal Saddlebag Lock Kit as a back-up plan.
I've got an Explorer RS that's going on my bike here ASAP so I can do my touring setup now that I have the Solo/Chopper mode of my bike finished up.
I was looking at the LS due to the stitching, thought it looked better
Butt the RS is supposed to be more comfortable, which I need
Yeah, been reading back thru the thread & saw both seats
With winter almost here I am making my list & checking it 2x
Working OT to put $$ away & buy upgrades, and suddenly the OT is coming faster then I thought
So will be buying the RS seat (heated) & a few other things shortly
Ordered RAM mount & will be setting up my old iPad as a GPS for the Car & bike
Horn Trigger arrived, ended up w/2 as it was only $3 more
Most parts to relocate the License Plate
Going to order a Custom Derby cover
Crash bars, then fog lights
New shift linkage bar
Tuner, list keeps growing lol
But I need to build a new front Bay window & the windows alone will be $2k
Still looking for a dual driving light setup to flank the main headlight like the Heritage
Also looking at different sissy bars, I want a bag that will go on the sissy bar
Plus a luggage rack & another bag for traveling
Already can't wait for next year
Going to be a long Winter
New battery in the Spring, current one as far as I know is Orig - Bike Mfg Nov 2018
Debating on tackling Stage 2 myself, adjustable push rods giving me pause
All the engine work I have done has been on cars

The Adjustable pushrods are pretty easy to handle.
As far as I can tell you don't even need to remove the tappet blocks, you can remove the lifters after youve removed the oil pump and cam.
FuelMoto has a tool that lets you lift the lifters up so they dont rest on the camshaft when you're installing them.
Kevin Baxter will be releasing a video of his method to get the tappet cuffs out soon, if you feel the need to swap them to the SnS ones.
Fuelmoto has there's here: https://university.fuelmotousa.com/a...-removal-tips/
Considering the relative ease and time to swap a camshaft, It'd feel like robbery to let a dealership do it unless they were doing it with free labor or some **** with Dyno runs.
I'd buy the tuner from FuelMoto USA and get a cam from them so they can give you their tunes and you can work with them for getting your tune optimized.
