The rear fender arrived today, did a testfitting and it fits perfect, I'm just going to have to find something so I can't lower my air suspension too low. On my FXSB I had a rubber pad on the frame with all sorts of shims so I
could tune it that way. I wonder if there is something similar for the M8 Softails, if anyone knows a solution, I'd love to hear it. I would like to be able to adjust it so that in the lowest position the mudguard remains +- 5mm
above the tire as shown in the photo.

This should be the lowest position

Fortunately, I also bought a new pot of bondo

Watching with interest, to pick up any tips, as I'll be doing exactly the same over the winter
(Along with installing my Stage 1+ setup)

Well the first thing I'm going to do is welding some small rvs tubing 6 x 4mm on the inside ( left and right ) to pull the wiring through. These tubes don't get in the way for anything, even at the lowest position of the air suspension. The whole
thing then looks so much more professional than sticking the wiring with tape or Tec7 as Thunderbike proposes, I think that came across as rather amateurish and was actually something they could have foreseen themselves. I mean channels
r brackets on the inside to attach the wiring.

I'll keep you posted with pictures, I ordered the tubes today but this Friday I have to have a minor operation on my shoulder in the hospital. I will normally have to carry my arm for about 2 weeks and not be able to do much, but I will definitely
keep you informed.

I was wondering about the wiring along the inner fender...
I was actually thinking about doing the same thing but didn't have a clue what to use, albeit some metal tubing, and exact positioning!
Something like this re: the tubing?
Plus I'd have to call in a favour from a mate to weld it in.
Agreed that it's rather amateurish of them not to think about that - taping it up is just not good enough!

Hope the Op goes well on Friday.

Yes that is a good one, I took OD6mm and ID4mm so that should be the same as in your link.
I do Tig welding myself so that is easy for me but if you know someone that is great to.

Also there was no shrinking nut in the package as last time, the one you need to mount the sadle, I'm now in doubt to go the same way as oem with a loose nut in a keyhole or I just make my own in RVS and weld it in place.
That last one should be better for rust prevention because all of those keyhole nuts starting to rust someday, not only the nut but de paint that gets shipped from the fender around the nut because the freeplay it have.

Those look pretty slick Gorilla. The medallions are a great touch.

Yeah, really pleased with the outcome - custom made for me and will match up with the 'Willie G' covers I have on the bike.
Anna & Alex @ TaurusCustoms were brilliant - they come highly recommended from me.

Yeah saw the post on the other thread - great job and they sound really nice - those TTI158's make quite a difference to the sound - in a good way.
