Mine have not slipped. Just make sure that the surfaces are clean when you assemble them.
I made sure to go over the bolts and torque them in sequence properly until ever bolt was torqued to spec. I applied loctite too.
The back of the package gives the customer the torque specs.

Got the indicators left and right working but for some reason I couldn't get the tail light to work at all and the brake light was permanently on.
Back to the drawing board and double checking all my connections.
This is the OEM wiring diagram

Here's my Grey and Black connectors wired up.
Note: The Yellow wires correspond to the White wires in the above diagram.

So, as far as the colour coding is concerned:
Black = Ground (Earth)
Red = Brake Light
Green = Indicator
Yellow = Tail/Running Light

Here's the Load Equalizer wired in.

Here's the Thunderbike Load Equaliser Wiring diagram

Now, looking at what the Thunderbike indicators and Brake/Running Light wiring is:
Left Indicator
  • Black = Ground (Earth)
  • Yellow = Indicator
Right Indicator
  • Black = Ground (Earth)
  • Yellow = Indicator
Brake/Running Light
  • Black = Ground (Earth)
  • Red = Brake Light
  • Yellow = Tail/Running Light
Wiring in the indicators seems pretty straight forward:
  • Left Indicator Black to Black of Grey Connector
  • Left Indicator Yellow to Green of Grey Connector
  • Right Indicator Black to Black of Black Connector
  • Right Indicator Yellow to Green of Black Connector
Wiring in the Brake/Running Light "should" be:
  • Black to Black (to either Grey or Black Connector)
  • Red to Red - split to go to both Grey and Black Connector
  • Yellow to Yellow - split to go to both Grey and Black Connector
However, doing this the first time didn't work as expected - I wonder if I need to double check how the Load Equaliser is wired in!?

Going back in the garage to check out the colour coding on the Thunderbike Load Equaliser against the Custom Chrome one I have wired in.

Of course I don't have extra led lighting like you do, but I only have leds in the front and back (also TB) and I didn't use a load equalizer, actually never done before for led lighting
on a newer Harley. The speed of the indicators is just fine, the only disadvantage is the one in the dashboard, it looks like it is running on speed or another drug .
But there is even a trick for this, you have to turn on the ignition and then turn on the hazard light, then turn off the ignition but leave the hazard lights on for about 2 minutes and
it is synchronized....or not. The BCM have a learning chip in it, on my FXBB it worked fine, on the FLFB not.

Cheers.
My understanding is that the Load Equaliser is just for the indicators - I got all that working as it should.
Quick question...
How did you wire up your TB rear fender in particularly the tail/brake light please.

Quick update on progress....
Thanks to MoneyFor for the pb with help and advice 👍
Load Equaliser is wired correctly
Indicators working
Brake Light working
Tail light and number plate light NOT working (also noticed the headlight wasn't working) so, it looks like I've blown one of the mini fuses - going to have a look today.

Looks like disaster has struck!
...and a potentially costly one at that!

The fuses looked ok and running a circuit test they worked.
Load Equaliser is wired correctly
Indicators working
Brake Light working
Headlight working (High and Low)
but still the Tail light and number plate light are NOT working.
So, I think I have shorted the circuit

I ran a test on the Tail light (direct feed) and it works.
I ran a test on the LED number plate light (direct feed) and it didn't work.
I think that I must have shorted and blown the LED number light which in turn shorted the BCM feed as opposed to blowing a fuse.

I ran a test on the grey and black connector pins and "it looks like" I have an open circuit/short, that is,...
I tested all 4 pins in each connector (meter black probe to COM (earth) on meter and other end onto the negative battery terminal; meter red probe on circuit, switched the Ignition on and tried each pin individually with the red probe) and I only got a reading on both sides on the white (yellow in my case) wires which is, according to the wiring diagram, the Running Light Power from the BCM.

This suggests that, "I think", that I have shorted the BCM feed for the running lights.
The only way to be absolutely sure is to remove the BCM and test it.

Feeling pretty sick and depressed right now

EDIT: Having written my findings down here I'm not sure that I'm totally correct with my diagnostics.
The Running Light Power from the BCM is a power feed for the Tail Light and Number Plate light which is a permanent feed when the ignition is turned on (lights come on when the ignition is turned on).
Talking/writing out loud, the other 3 pins in the connector, Black (Earth); Red (Brake); Green (Indicators), the latter 2 would only show a reading when activated.
I need to re-check the circuit with the Grey and Black connectors plugged in to see if the problem is with the wiring with/through the connectors.

Having spent the day going through things with a multimeter and also managing to read the following BCM codes:
  • B2151h Left rear turn signal output open
  • B2156h Right rear turn signal output open
  • B2161h Brake lamp output open
  • B2163h Brake lamp output shorted low
I'm pretty sure that I have shorted something and most likely in the BCM.
Next step is to remove the BCM to test.

I'm now not going to remove the BCM - I have another one on order (ouch! bl**dy costly mistake on my part) and waiting for it to arrive.
Obviously it will need to be fitted and then programmed but I'm guessing that certain info may need to be extracted via the ECM for reprogramming the new one, so the plan is to get the Dealer to do this.

In the meantime, putting the bike back together, test fitting and checking.

Still quite a way to go yet but it gives you the general idea and style.
