I have done many kickstands on and off different bikes. I put the bike upright in a wheel clamp, put the kickstand in the folded out position and then I push washers as much as I can
between the spring. Then you close the kickstand again and you can take the spring off with very little effort .

Like MoneyFor, I did my kickstand also by just pushing pennys in the coils with the kickstand down and on the bike. When you put the kickstand up, the spring stays extended. I got the idea from another thread on here a while back.

Thanks, Both you and Kenelz.
I've actually seen this method, but was looking for other ways just in case I mess up and need a different way to look at the problem.
That little screwdriver idea that's exactly what I was looking for in terms of "Oh I ****ed up" or my coordination causes a mishap and I have to deal with that.
Army taught me it's 2/3rds planning 1/3 doing. I gotta be prepared for **** going wrong.

For anyone interested, here's the state of my tires after 6000+ miles.
This front tire is so good. It barely wears. My rear tire is developing a very mild flat spot from so many straight line miles. I cant wait till good weather so I can fix that.
Pressures kept consistantly at F36/36(39)R cold. These are great tires.

That front tire still looks very good after 6000mls , good investment.

Those are a Modular Prototype that I assembled.
They are made from Arlen Ness 1.25inch Chrome Modular Clamps, a generic set of 1.25inch 12inch Ape Hangers chopped down to be as low a rise as possible.
I chose 12inch rise to make sure I got enough up pitch angle on the uppers segments, so when the center segments were cut out they would feel nice in my hands when pitched back significantly.
They total 8.5inch rise to the center of the handle segement bars.

I used the stock Clutch cable, and 26inch Magnum Shielding Silver ChromiteII brakeline with a 90 degree banjo fitting. My lines were damaged when my bike was illegally towed, but are still safe to use. I will be replacing the line with the same color but 1inch longer.
I also purchased but have not installed a stock length silver chromite 2 clutch cable line

Partnumbers from Magnuim Shielding.
AS37227 SCII Des ABS UP 27" 90° 10mm x1
AS37026 SCII '18+ ABS Adapter x1
32344HE SC Quick Connect Upper Clutch Cable x1

Great Thanks, I was looking at some LA Chopper 1 1/4" - 8.5 inch but they seemed to bit a bit wider, I like the look of your narrow bars. I also found some narrow 1 1/4" - 10 inch ones I that look very similar to yours that im interested in but don't want to go to high. The height of your look perfect for what I'm looking for, Did you have to extend the electrical any or just the clutch and brakes?

I had to extend almost eveything wiring wise.
I used Custom Dynmaics Turn Signal and Hand Controls Extensions 8inches.
Guerella Cables Throttle cable Extension 6 inches.

Thanks again, I have some planning to do now. I kinda like that idea of the modular adjustable clamps, but I would be worried about them slipping/twisting. Any issues?
