Are you going with the HD Apes or aftermarket?
HD 12 inch apes with 4 1/2 pull back riser. Going with chrome cables as well. Getting final dyno tune for stage three so she will be there for a few days. With good weather everyone takes their bikes in for service. Service department is pretty slammed right now.
It doesn't really hurt anything. There is a little more drag due to clutch discs having to slip with it being in gear which loads the starter a little more. It's generally easier to find neutral with the engine off so during those times where it's hard to find neutral while running, I'll shut the engine down, find neutral, flip the sidestand down and I'm on my way.
First you will find as you get more miles on your bike you will notice getting into neutral will become much easier. I have also found replacing the shifter peg with a shifter pedal makes shifting night and day different. It is so much easier to shift with a pedal versus a peg in my opinion.
Bad @ss!!
Hmm, even thought I might go with drag bars, these exact apes do look good on the new Fatty. Adds to the already muscular character of the bike.
Thoughts? Is this someone's ride here in the forum? Got this from instagram.
Man I love the look of this bike I would be tempted to go that way since I am not a fan of chrome. Just not sure if I would go apes or different style of bars
I bought and installed chrome side covers from an 18 deluxe. I had to relocated the shock adjuster under the cover. I did not like the looks of the adjuster and wanted chrome. I also installed a black backing under the tank trim. It looks better than the white paint showing through the holes.
Nice work M8, Was it hard to relocate the adjuster?
Thanks...not hard. I had to leave the **** off it. I used a big thick zip tie and strapped it to the battery holder (I should have taken a picture. I made sure line did not rub anything. I have the adjustment where I want it and I don't carry a passenger. I can always put it back to stock if I ever sold it. If you take the **** off you have to be careful because there is a spring and ball bearing under the **** that will pop out.

I really love the color of your bike. I dont see many fatties that color.
In case you want to see what the badlander seat looks like. I had ordered the brawler but the fir was horrible. I really like this one will try it out this weekend.
