Default Where do you stash your fuelpak3 ?

I'm having trouble fitting my FP3 on my 2018 breakout. Ideas? Kinda limited to under the seat or squeeze it into under the side cover. Too bad the don't make an extension harness to get a little more length to work with. Like to play with autotune in the future.

Pretty sure you could find a CANBUS extension on line. It's an industry standard. Or you could make your own - the connectors are readily available. I have an old fp3 I use to display information on my phone. I have it tucked under a couple wire bundles inside the right side cover. I ran a couple of cable ties through some hard attachment points so it's not hanging off of any wires. My bike is an '18 Heritage.

When I install the FP3 onto an M8 Softail I plug it in under the left side cover, then route the unit past the frame and stash the module under the right side cover. This works well for both types of shock adjustments in case you have the hand crank preload adjuster.

The cord from the FP3 is long enough for that? In the pictures it looks like 3 inches max? I've got an FP3 coming this week and was curious with how to fit all that stuff with the CD triple play, accessory harness, etc.

It's just long enough to make it work with the proper routing

Wonder if you can cut the FP3 wires and make them a bit longer. I guess I'll see, but it sounds pretty tight to me. I also don't do my own maintenance and want to make sure I keep that kind of stuff mostly stock so the tech doesn't have to F with stuff.
