Default Gas caps

So i am trying to get a performance machine gas cap. Revzilla says that the one they have is model specific for sportster and touring models. It is listed as 2011-2019 harleys. Anyone know if they are different. I know I looked on harleys website, and their fuel caps fit almost everything within fhe model year.

I have a flush mount Harley gas cap for a Sportster on my 18 Breakout, I can’t see why the PM cap wouldn’t fit

I think there's concern that they don't fit the contour of the tank. Can you post a close-up pic of yours?

I bet I'd fit. Try it, send it back.

I wonder if its not "fitting" because some of the softails have the fake second cap that they did change.

So I got the pm gas cap. It threads in and fits. The threads are not as long as the stock one. But it seems to seal agaist the tank. Do you guys think its ok.

it is a lot more sturdy than the stock one. And the gasket is much more substantial. For a 2 dollar investment it is worth it.
