I will send a email to V&H on monday and ask if this option is available on the FP3 because I have a new in the box FP3 never married with a bike waiting for a bike, so if it could I can al so install that one on the FXFBS.
To start my FXFBS is stock, my top speed measured on GPS is currently 193kph or 119.92mph, I find this very disappointing, my XLH1200S from 2000 was faster.
The speed limiter is set for 120 mph on the FXFBS. Mchad is correct, you'll have to modify the programming in the ECU if you want to go faster than that. I don't know of any reports of an observed top speed on an FXFBS with the limiter removed.

For example, I use a speedo healer on my Can Am that is normally limited by the ecu. I set the speedo healer to -50%, that means for example when you driving 100mph the speedo reeds 50mph and it does the
trick. Do not know this will works on a HD like that but who knows. I allready sended the email to V&H tech so I wait for the answer on the FP3.
Not only is it a Harley, it came with it's only guardian angel looking over your shoulder.. However, hopefully, it needs to wisper a little harder when it tells you to slow down on antique engineering.
I know it is a Harley but expected a bit more umph out of it since it is a 114 and my old 1200 did better then that. I used to race with GSXR's and I'm used to speeds up and above 300 kph
so for me everything feels slow but that was one of the reasons I went a long with Harley to cruise more ....but I bought the FXFBS just for that bit more when I had the need for speed .
It handle very well in corners and I'm happy with it but for now even my tupperwarebox GL1800 is faster so you could understand that I was a bit disappointing.
I have currently a Motorscan M6050 on order, it is a dealer tool that can alter everyting in the ECM so that must be able to unlock the speed limit if there is one .
My '16 V-Rod Muscle could do 147MPH indicated, so around 135-139MPH adjusted I'd imagine. That's the fastest HD I've ever ridden top speed-wise. If you want American speed, Motus MSTR is your answer. Single craziest two-wheeled vehicle I've had the pleasure to test-ride, and I've raced as well, although only 600cc class.
Yesterday I sended a email to V&H and allready got an answer from the V&H tech:
There is indeed a factory imposed speed limiter. We are working on updates to be able to manipulate this in the FP3 app. We have succeeded in identifying the tableon the ECM that controls it and are now transferring that to our infrastructure. We are hoping to have that feature out within the next month or so. So hopefully I have monday my M6050 and see if that is going to see that limiter, keep you all posted.
