I'm kinda diggin' the looks of the cowling on the breakout. I found a couple places that make them, but the price is outrageous for what they are
I seen a custom on YouTube where the owner used one off of a Vrod, said it bolted right u
I know nothing about them, but anyone know what year of Rod it might be? I'm assuming they must have the oblong shaped headlight too? Just figured it might be cheaper. Thanx!!

I asked this same question several months ago. I saw the vrod video last night. They used the damn oblong light so we cant put any quarter fairing on it. I was wondering if the fxdr cowl would fit. Trask made a custom one.
Yeah. I know there's a couple out there, but like I said, $200. RUFKM??? I know that I've read somewhere that some Vrod has the same wierd light. Funny you seen same video I did at same time. Lol. I tried looking at schematics on "RONNIE'S" , and found the parts pic that has what looks like our headlight, but the cowl isn't numbered or listed. I find that highly strange. Was hoping maybe a couple of you seasoned guys would look and see what ya think. Be cool if it came molded black and was like $50. If I don't get many hits on this thread, or don't get any direction, I might go to HD dealer and find out.
I'm not poor, don't wanna come across like a cheapskate, but I just don't see the money.

No I totally agree. The thunderbike one is nice, but not 380 dollars nice. I wonder how much the fxdr cowl cost. If you find a line on the vrod cowl let me know. I want it gloss black.
VROD headlight mask fits, bolt holes line up and fits the headlight profile, you'll just need some longer allen head bolts (stainless) to go through the headlight mask, headlight housing and into the upper triple clamp. I threw one on my Breakout last summer. Pic attached, hard to see from the angle but you get the idea, I'll try and grab another shot that shows it better when I get a chance.
VROD cowl you can buy from the dealer in gloss black, part number 67700030DH "BRACKET HEADLAMP MOUNTING (BLACK)" its around the $160 mark.
