Does Harley sell SaddleBag Guards for the the Deluxe? I only see them for the Heritage. Does it make sense to get Engine Guards without the Saddlebag Guards?
Does anyone have them on a Deluxe? If so, please share pictures and impressions. I would imagine Chrome is the color of choice, but would like to see pictures of black as well.
Given that the frame is identical on all of the Softies, I'm kind of hoping the saddlebag guards for any of the bikes fit all of them. I'd like some bars to protect the leather bags on my Low Rider.
The engine guards are listed as fitting all 18+ Softails, but not the saddlebag guards.
I've been wondering if they will work on a Deluxe too. If you compare the pic from the HD site to a Deluxe frame with passenger pegs on it, I don't think the guards and pegs will coexist. Or coexist on a Heritage (with passenger pegs in place) either?

I think I read a post. All you need is a longer bolt. The guard goes between the frame and the passenger peg post. The hard part is trying to remove that passenger peg if your on a Heritage. I broke my Torx socket and just took it to the dealer as didnt want to screw up the head of the bolt.
Depends which bags you're running
A friend of mine (co-worker) has had an 06 Deluxe for years.
He runs the Springer bags (Bought em new from Harley . . . $$$ CHA-CHING $$$
But he runs the Heritage Springer bag guards. They're different than the Heritage
guards that I have. Thinner and longer to accommodate the different bags
Looks sharp.
OH !! You're talkin 18 & up. My bad !!!!!
Still . . . Springer bags would look HOT on the new ones
Have ta lose the exh though
