Hey Guys, I know it's the beginning of the riding season so... when considering buying a new low rider right now... I guess one should expect MSRP along with freight...
I'm in NorCal so... if anyone has experience buying at this time of year please chime in. Thanks!
If you can pay msrp out the door, I would take it. Remember tax and reg in Norcal is about 10% And when it's time to renew your reg, you'll be paying a little north of 300 bucks. My 2015 Road King and 2016 KTM registration renew is 250 and 210 respectively.
Look for a leftover '18 they're going to be out there. The '20s will be out in 3 and a half months the leftover '18s are going to be on clearance. There were no MY changes between 18/19 on the Softails so I'd be keeping a lookout if you wanted the Low Rider.

Yea if i could get msrp out door that would be good
Are you inlcuding doc fees, ca 200 fee, freight in that as well?

Well i like the color options on 19s better... specifically the midnight blue. But i could do a vivd black 18 if the incentives were good enough.
I am trying to sell my 2015 48... nice bike. Thinking i will regret selling down road. If i were smart i would wait 3-4 yrs and buy low rider used... and be same out of pocket but still have my sportster. But i would feel a bit guilty having 2 bikes and not getting enough miles on them...

That's what "OUT THE DOOR" means.
What's the "ca 200 fee?"
Oh yeah, for an '18, you should be able to get the bike for $2500 UNDER MSRP OTD.
When negotiating with a dealer, the only number you should ever work with is the "OTD" number. Not "How much can you afford" BS. Not the 4 square crap BS either.
You only talk to them in "OTD" terms. That's the only number you need to be concerned with.
Sure wish high schools could teach this stuff, because first timers are getting raked over the coals, and it affects them for years afterward.

No yea thats how i negotiate out the door... did it on my new car recently. I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page on what out door is lol.
Yea the 200 CA fee is listed on harley sites as well as freight. Im thinking its the welcome to CA FU fee that we are always stuck with when trying to buy something fun
Actually on my car... i negotiated out the door... sales gal kept coming back with payment... said no out door only. Then we got to point where they not go any lower on out door price. I said thanks... so what is the payment on that (already had other financing lined up with my credit union) ... they qouted me a payment... i said well thats 40 more a month than i want to spend. I will go with a honda instead and got up to leave. They kept me from walking out and came down 40... which was another 1800 bucks. I had calculated what that would be while she in sales office. This was a left over yr model... so i think im decent at negotiating.
