I used a spring punch, worked great.

Any issues with the plastic cap sticking when u need gas?
I have heard it happens at times

No I don’t, that’s all that’s holding me up from putting them on my bike.

Lefty, I have the HD pop up cap on a CVO Roadking that's going on 7 years old, no problems yet. Maybe they changed. If I have issues with this one, I'll report back.

I put my gf's hair tie in there and screwed it back on and bam no more bleaping rattle!!!!!

Felix27. So I have had the same rattle. I was too concerned for the rattle, So On the flh models. there is foam spacer behind the speedometer drive. I found it to stretch around the threads of the cap, I rode it and it was much less noticeable. to non existent. I did that last season. I can provide a part number to purchase through Ronnie's. the part is cheap and comes in 10 pack.

At first I thought what the heck are these guys talking about “Gas Cap Buzz” and sure enough mine started to do it, I did exactly what felix suggested and it worked great.
