Yeah….forward controls. I love the Sport Glide but the forward controls were a deal breaker. I went with a Heritage. So that said, before I spent money changing the seat, I’d install mid controls then see how comfortable it is.
For me (6'2") the forward pegs don't really seem forward like they did on my Nightrain. Plus, you can get some foot boards to replace the pegs and that might do the job.
I would like to find a demountable windshield for my 2021 SG. I haven't seen anything that I like... I want one that clips on to the fork tubes but gets out of the way of the turn signals. My only other choice for windy Utah is wearing my full face helmet which is ok on the interstate but is too dangerous for city driving in this crazy driver state.
Before I installed the Memphis Shades fairing I had the Fats Windshield. Wasn't too fond of the look but did a decent job and like the fairing I could put it on and take it off easily. Keep in mind with the Memphis Shades windshields and fairing you cannot re-install your original Harley fairing without removing all of the Memphis Shades attachment hardware first.
The memphis shade works better but I actually took it off because i like the look of the bike with the fairing on it. New windshield is not as effective as the memphis shade but i like the look.
Thanks for telling me about Fats. I ordered the tallest shield I could (gustafsson) find for my stock fairing and if that doesn't work I will be going the Memphis shades Fats route.
