Default New Sport Glide on its way! Advice on tailights..

I wrote a few days ago I had put a deposit on a new 2018 Twisted Cherry Sport Glide. Finally managed to get back the the dealer & get a test ride yesterday. I returned it with a big smile on my face! After some discussion, we arrived at what I thought was a really good deal & I signed for the bike. I'm having a Stage II Torque Kit installed - all HD parts; the air kit is the one that fits behind the stock cover - and also Heritage floorboards in Fat Boy mounts. Hopefully, all the parts will be received in the next 3 days & my Limited will have a new mate in the garage by next weekend.

I see this bike has only the rear bullet lights as taillights, & they are of the filament bulb type. Got to love HD...they now fit LED headlamps to everything as stock but still put filament bulbs in the running/turn lamps, tail lights, etc. Anyway, for those of you who have updated the rear lamps to LED on the new softails, what are you using? I want to be bright back there; looking for suggestions on what you are running & how you like them.

The Sport Glide has LED's in the rear. Just not the front turn signals. I'm hoping someone does some sort of eliminator for the license plate holder before I do anything to the rear. I've decided on Custom Dynamics ProBeam running/turn for the front. Price is reasonable and they plug into the incandescent base.

I think Cage Free is right about the stock rears being LED. Canadian models also have a brake light where the reflector is above the taillight. I haven’t tried it, but there is an earlier thread here that says the wiring is there if you can find a source for the light itself.

Dealer installed Custom Dynamics in the stock bullet housings, swapping in smoked covers too, both front and rear on my Breakout. Very bright!

@Cage Free is correct; the '18 Sport Glide has LEDs stock in the rear. If you want to upgrade them, though, we do make a ProBEAM option that is plug and play for your bike!

Here's a video of these units installed on a Street Glide with a couple of our other products.

Thanks for correcting me on the rear tail lights; I'll probably leave those as is for now but will then concentrate on the front running / turn lamps.

In the EU all Harley's come factory with the 3 in 1 led rear, maybe that is an option for you ?

Picture just for the leds, is the rear on my FXBB.
