I love my slim and got the 18 at a good price.

One other issue I would add is that HD needs to pay more--a lot more--attention to the quality, pricing and list of its line of accessories. FYI: My test rides confirmed that the frame, engine and weight reduction on the new softails are MAJOR improvements.
i like the solid wheels too- but it seemed like the Low Rider was the more the retro bike than the Street Bob- but I guess "mags" are kind of retro now and spokes are usually the choice for custom bobbers. I agree that HD should offer wheel options at the time of purchase. I was really torn between the Street Bob, the Fat Bob, and the Low Rider. I liked the Fat Bob 114 the best stock- but felt that it was not as good a canvas to customize the bike to my liking as the other two. I really, really liked the tank graphics on the Low Rider and I thought the wheels were nicer and having a real gauge was cool- but in the end the blacked out Street Bob won.

I tested most of the 18 Softails, I’m 6’1” and never felt like the Slim was designed to be the best fit for shorter riders only. I bought I because it was comfortable, fun to ride while being the most comfortable for me, plus I love the retro-bobber style and denim paint.

Everybody is different and like different things. I'm glad, makes the world interesting, but, I hate the looks of "clubstyle" bikes. Just sayin'....

I guess you are allowed your opinion, even if it is STUPID! I bought a slm S because it was the closest thing to an old school bobber looking Harley. I didn't want to ride a motor home around all the time.

Agree with some not all. The entire industry has a major problem and finding a way to please is going to be very difficult. I didn't care for the new softails 2 years ago but I just bought a new Sport Glide 3 weeks ago and am very pleased with the ride and handling.

Tubeless spoked wheels and detachable hard bags would have had me sold on the Deluxe or Heritage, ended up with a Road King which I love.
