Thanks for the response. I partially installed them. The slack is fine, but I ran into a different problem - I could not take off one of the nuts from the original studs. Since the 1.75 came with studs and not with bolts, I was **** out of luck and pretty much destroyed one of the original studs trying to take off the nut I need. Now I need to get a stud and a nut, to complete the install and to have an original stud just in case I ever need to bring things back to stock. This in no way reflects poorly on CJ Motorsports and his product, just merely reflects either on my lack of mechanical abilities or HD using waaaay too much loctite

That's the thing, the studs came out fine (I was worried about that at first), one of the original nuts does not want to come off the original stud. I've already destroyed the original stud trying to take the nut off after soaking the damn thing in break cleaner, etc to dissolve the loctite - and the vice grips did not help 
Anyway, I think that I'm better off ordering the nut and the destroyed stud from HD. In the mean-time, my Bob is standing there parked with only one of the studs bolted down - so, no riding until I get the nut from Harley.

Ahh sorry. Misunderstood. You would probably be better off just buying new grade 8 bolts and get rid of the stock studs and nuts. Mine came with new bolts so my stock studs are sitting on the shelf now. They were all nasty looking and corroded. Was surprised how nasty they looked.
I'm getting ready to do this myself in the near future - so all advice gratefully received.

Oh wow, that looks pretty bad. Mine looked clean. Also, the 1.75 inch set comes with grade 8 studs. You have to re-use the original nuts, this is where my problem comes from - I need the original nuts. One came off, the other didn’t, so, nut ordered from my dealer. For anyone who will be doing this, you may want to get a set of nuts if your kit comes with studs and not bolts, just in case you wind up in the same situation as me. Also, I did not use the washers that came with the kit, not even sure where they would fit - they can’t go between the original risers and the new blocks and there are already cup washers below and above the bushings in the fork. I guess they are spares just in case the studs are too long....
