Default Torx size help please

I want to remove my pillion pegs from my 19 Fatboy but I'm unsure what size torx bit I need,I need to buy a deep reach item to reach the bolts in question,I think it's a T-50 but not sure so I'd like to find out before buying the torx I need.

I am indeed,I have T-45 & T-50 but they aren't long enough to reach,I can't decide which one it is. I'd rather buy the correct one first time rather than wrong one!

I would suggest a socket set of the various sizes. Using an extension you should be able to reach "way in". You may end up with extra sockets but eventually you will find a need.

I too ran into this issue and had the correct size Torx bit but it was too fat at the drive end (3/8" drive) and wouldn't fit even with extensions. Found some longer Torx bits and they worked like a charm. Like stated a 4" long Torx bit will do the trick. Something similar to this.

That's exactly the same issue I have, the socket end fouls the hole where the bolt is.
Anyway I have answered my own dumb question,it's a T-45,how do I know..... Its the same as the front bolts that hold the foot boards on,all I need now is a deep reach torx like you have kindly shown.

Get a good quality one. Cheap ones break off easily. An impack driver will aslo make the job much easier. Thiose bolts are put on in the factory with very strong lock tite. Ask me how I know...
