Is there a pad change or something to make it better ,it’s bloody rubbish ,dangerous even ,you’d b as well trying to put your feet down , the Fred flinstone brake
Are you using the front brake at all? If you're depending on the rear brake to do all the stopping you are asking for trouble.
You can upgrade the pads to Lyndalls or EBCs, front and rear.
Yeah obv , but there seems to b very little braking when u use rear ,most of time it's always front ( as it should be) but stock rear brake is rubbish
Btw are ebc any better ,I ran ebc sintered in my last bike and they were very good , but a z1000 is a bit different from a Harley lol
Sorry, but it's not obvious. There have been plenty of posts here where riders are reluctant to use the front brake for fear of locking up the front tire or having the bike flip over like a bicycle. And you're right, it isn't a Z1000. So don't expect it to perform like one.
The bike is under warranty so it wouldn't hurt to have the dealer look at it.
My 18 Low Rider back brake had so little stopping power it could barely hold the bike on a hill. I bled it and now it is pretty good, a nice match for the very good front brake.

I suppose that’s worth a try ,I can bleed it myself Iv got a vacuum bleeder , that makes sense , there’s a lot of travel and it barely slows
