Default Road the LRS today

I have to say. It looks cool in person, and I could see it being fun, but not for me. I'm 6ft 270.....and didnt fit all that well. Maybe its because I have a pipe on my 114 breakout, but it didn't didnt have that break your neck hookit and go feel to it. Seat was comfy. Also I didnt notice any difference with the dual disk, which is surprising. I was expecting them to be grabby more like a sportbike. I see what people talk about with buffetting. The air was hitting the top edge of my helmet. I dont get that on my breakout for some reason. Anyways. Cool *** scooter. I love the tank decal. Oh amd I dont see how the hell you guys read those gauges. I know they are traditional, but ****.

Breakout has an 18inch rim 240 fat tire in the rear so it's gonna feel more "Grabby" than the Lowrider S's 180 16inch. Larger tire radius gives you a stronger feel of resistance to power so it feels more "jumpy." Same wtih wider contact patches.
Dual Disc vs Single disc doesnt matter all that much at lower speed, because total rolling resistance on a single disk and dual disk is pretty similar near to the point of lock up. It's at higher speed that people will feel a difference, and even then... on a heavier low CG bike it's not gonna make that big of a difference.
You will feel much more braking effect when you're sitting higher up like on a sport bike and the CG is higher.
LRS also has that mini fairing on it, and combined with the inverted forks it'll create an airflow sheer that sends wind upwards, where as on your break out it just smacks you in the chest instead, evenly distributed pressure from chest to head.
Also for those gauges, people dont necessarily look at them, they kinda headcheck em, and learn the speed based on the RPM noise and current gear.

I know. I was just pointing out some things I noticed. I overheard a guy saying that the 114 in the lrs had a high compression than a reg 114, I dont know about that. My girls got a big *** on ger for sure. I really never noticed how hard the bo was to turn till I hopped back on. The brakes are ok. Just not night and day difference that would be expected. I'm use to having all my info in my line of sight, which is why I like the digital readout on the bo and street bob. We got up to highway speed, and the roll on throttle seemed ok, not what I was use to. Its a cool scooter. Just not my style. I liked the old school harley scrolled out on the tank though.

It doesnt.
It's got the same 10.5:1
It's the stage 3 114 upgrade that has the 11:1 compression ratio.
It's one of the reasons I wanna get the 107 Fat Boy base instead of the 114, because the stage 3 114 CI kit is more powerful than a stage 2 114 base model.
but they stopped making the 107 Fat Boy. So Im SOL unless my local dealer holds onto them.

LRS isnt my style either but there's a bunch of people out there who wanted one. I'll just go with the fatboy.

Yea. He was one of those guys where if you didnt know he was full of ****, you would think he really knew his stuff. You should be able to find a smoking deal on a 107 fat boy. In regards to how the power delivery felt, I am talking about as I was riding, not first gear. I respect the lrs for what it is. And it looked bitching. The fairing, imo, looks like **** though. It lools like the 1200 iron fairing. I think they should have used a true quarter fairing

My addled brain thinks the new LRS is going to get a few TC LRs riders/owners on board the new platform, it's like a bridge to bring a few of the dyna guys back to the new models.

Peace.

Oh I hope so. Problem is that river rock 2020 fat boy is calling my name, and I'm looking for Legend Blue Deniem editions with super low miles or brand new.
But if I can get a 107 FLFB for like 17K or less, I'll go with that and stage 3 it.
Here's hoping my local delear doesnt sell off that Black tempest that's been sitting on their showfloor by the time I get my money.

Black tempest is one of my favorite colors. The new blue and black color on the touring bikes is absolutely beuatiful. The cvo colors were absolutley underwhelming. I'll get some pics tomorrow. They had that riverrock in a road king special

Oh the road king? That has the spruce silverpine color.. The ultra Limited has the river rock metal flake like the Fat Boy does.
Really gorgeous color in the metal flake, but the denim, I'm not a fan.
I'm a sucker for that oldschool metal flake colors.
Black Temptest is metal flake too.

Man it's gonna be a hard choice between Black Temptest and River Rock on the fat boy. dammit harley, stop making **** I want.
