I am experiencing a weird glitch on my 2019 FLHCS. After the last two gas fill ups the LED fuel gauge only shows 3/4 full. At first I thought I had mistakenly not filled the tank all the way up but the same thing happened on the second fill up. The attached photo is not very clear but it shows the gas all the way to the top and and the gauge only showing 3/4 full. This is after I had ridden a couple of kilometres home from the gas station. The max range is also low showing 280 kms when (depending on the previous ride) it usually shows in the 340 to 360 range (kms not miles)
I had a similar issue on my Triumph Thunderbird 1700 a few years ago and it turned out to be faulty LEDs requiring a speedo replacement under warranty.
I have also thought it might be an air lock of some sort preventing me from filling all the way but I don't know much about air locks or how to troubleshoot. Unfortunately it's pretty well the end of the season up here in Vancouver so any extensive troubleshooting will have to wait till next year.
I have the same problem.
I think it is the float sticking giving a false reading.
I have been waiting until it is not intermittent then will take it in. Seems to be a steady problem now.
Gas gauge on my FLSB hasn't worked worth a damn for couple months now. I can fill up, park the bike, and the next morning it will say I'm empty. Then fluctuate wildly when I ride. I've taken to just using the trip mileage.
I'm going in this Saturday and the dealer is going to dig into why my aftermarket LED lights, which have been on the bike for two months, triggered the check engine light and I guess I'll lay it on them then. That and the bike rarely goes from fifth to fourth on the first try...sigh. Kinda been living with these issues 'cause I really don't want to give up the bike, lol.
My 2018 FLHCS (Heritage 114) would read between 3/4 and full when the fuel tank was completely filled. Was that way for a few tanks full, but it "self corrected" within the first month or so. No problems since and now have 9100+ miles on it.

That's most likely the problem. Mine started doing it yesterday. Nothing about this in the service manual, in fact, I can't even find where the manual even acknowledges that there IS a fuel gauge.
