Gas gauge calibration

When my gas gauge says my '12 Wide Glide is empty I can only put 3 gallons in. Is there some sort of gauge callibration that can be done?

Forget the gas gauge.

Reset your trip odometer every time you refuel and keep track of your MPG by recording fillups.

take it back to the dealer if its under warranty. Its common to have the gas gauge off.
The best thing to do is go by miles not by gas reading. Good luck

Yes it can. Drain the tank and put exactly one gallon back it the tank and bend the float rod till the low fuel light comes on.

Mine does the same thing. I have a '12 and 1/2 tank = a full one for me. I just use the trip odometer and try to gas every 150 miles or so...as my light will come on when I have 3 gallons LEFT in there. Dealer did not say jack to me when I took it in...he said that I would have to leave it and they would get to it in the next 20 days or so...F that...it is riding time, not modding/fixing time. I a very disappointed with the gauge readings as well.
