My pipe is the race version with the DB reducer intact as well. Made 110/130 as stage 2. I have more torque off idle and throughout the rpm range than it had as stage 1. Did not hurt reliability or drivability in the least bit.

It would be easy for me. Too much noise gets old fast. My wife says it's the first sign of a small ... (you figure it out).

Don't get me wrong, even my BMW GSA has an Akrapovic exhaust, but I left the DB reducer still installed. I've got years of sport bike experience, so HD "performance" is a relative term to me. If they are too loud, it's just absurd IMHO because we all know it's not like loud = more power (see my wife's point previously). If I wanted max power but not a sports bike, I'd look at a Ducati X-diavel, streetfighter V4 or something similar, but that's not my thing anymore. I think striking a balance of great sound, good, usable torque/hp, comfort and looks are the best configuration, for me anyway.

So I let a buddy ride the bike today at it really sounds great and is pretty loud, I guess with a helmet on and the pipe outlet being so far back, it was hard to tell. I have 500 miles on the bike now and seems to getting louder. Thanks for the input guys!

Bike looks awesome. what suspension did you use for the rear? are those 10" murdock risers? what cables did you use?
