Vance & Hines Big Radius 2into2 - loss of lean angle?
Anyone with these pipes experience a loss of lean angle? I'm considering them for my 2020 Sport Glide. In photos the tips appear to stick out a bit, possibly causing a loss of lean angle, but it's too hard to determine from photos alone. Looking for any real-world experience either way. Much appreciated in advance!
We engineered the M8 Softail systems to all have equal or better ground clearance than stock at lean angles, so you shouldn't have any issues scraping unless you lower the bike quite a bit.
The tip of the front pipe will most likely scrape if you get agressive in the twisties. I had some Bassani RR3 pipes which a ton of people stated would not scrape yet I was scraping the front header pipe in the corners. Just depends on how you ride.
For what it's worth, I scraped my Big Radius pipes in my Sportster 48 but that thing sat so low it was ridiculous. I ended up hacking off the ends of the pipes so they didn't scrape as much and matched.
Thanks everyone - including Bryan at V&H! I have no plans to lower the bike, so the Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes should suit me well. I really enjoyed them on my Twin Cam Wide Glide. I know they won't sound exactly the same on the M8, but it'll be good enough, and I really like the way they look on a Sport Glide!
Also, I've read (and watched) a lot about the Bassani lean angle issues - I guess it's no coincidence that most of those systems are now on sale at our favorite vendors...

Bryan the bike is lowered 19mm / 3/4" and the front pipe is hitting the road wen cornering at higher speed
